WiseWolf, yeah I spend a lot of time pontificating about the show, and several more working on it. We love it no doubt.

Aside from HEX, which is great, there's a couple of other good pulp RPGs that I believe deserve mention:

Two-fisted Tales by Precis Intermedia is an underappreciated gem that can be set for different power levels of pulp - gritty, gritty, escapist, fantastic, and amazing - to portray noir-style, gritty characters to (proto-)super-heroic legends.

Dicey Tales by Evil DM Productions allows for the rules for Barbarians of Lemuria to be used for pulp adventure. Is is set up like a serial of supplements and requires the Barbarians of Lemuria book.

For games I've read, there's also Forbidden Kingdoms and Rocketship Empires 1936. Sadly Rocketship Empires is not longer made, and the guy who was putting it out seems to have dropped off the map. Even removing it from DriveThru RPG.
I really like that setting.

I am glad to hear that . You do a lot of research and your input is always thoughtful and fresh, plus the editing that by experience I know is a nightmare . Thanks for taking the time to do this great show, guys . The community truly appreciates the efforts .

Just finished this one.

Like Trevlix I'm a big fan of HEX. In fact, I'll be running that for an offline group later in the year. Probably an 8-10 hour game. I might be persuaded to run it in installments for players online. Hmmm, guess I should post the details in the online gaming section.

Anyway, great podcast! :cthulhudance:

I emailed Ben on my Facebook to tease him about Monterey Jack.

We gotta get Jack to come back in for some more recordings. It's nearly impossible to get the man to give a straight answer on his schedule, though. :x

Just reading this thread again, seeing how many nice comments the pulp show got...maybe time to revisit the topic somehow?
