MU Podcast 032 - New Orleans Mythos!
I would definitely wanna hear more about the New Orleans stuff, the start of that campaign sounded so awesome.
SPOILERS BELOW!
(Sense of the Sleight of Hand Man)
I just watched a recent Drugs Inc. episode about the NO. Apparently drug usage has gone way up since the Katrina. The reason I mention this is because in Sense of the Sleight of Hand Man, the players drug users who end up getting some bad "shit" and get transported to Dreamlands.

Awesome podcast, as usual. I think this ranks in my top 3 you've done so far.

Nice! May I ask what puts it so high on the charts?

I'd say Roller Derby and Fezzes. Fezzes are cool.

I really enjoyed the discussion on New Orleans. It was cool to hear about how a campaign was being run by a native to the area, utilizing some of the local legends. Not that I don't love all your episodes (I do), this one just stuck out for some reason.Dr. Gerard wrote:Nice! May I ask what puts it so high on the charts?
On the subject of New Orleans, I don't recall anyone mentioning the adventure Dead Man Stomp, which has graced a core rulebook or two. It isn't stated outright, but several references point to it being set in NOLA.
Then again, someone may've brought it up, and I missed it.

I don't know that it's on my own top three list -- I think I might put Pulp Up the Volume, Sandbox or Published and Digital Cthulhu in those spots, offhand. But this was a very good show.Dr. Gerard wrote:trevlix wrote:Awesome podcast, as usual. I think this ranks in my top 3 you've done so far.

I appreciated the fact that was a great shout-out to the MUP community to have a listener as a guest host -- it leads to good things, like bringing Dr. Gerard on board. Moreover, it's a good example of the kind of impact the podcast has had on those of us who have either renewed (or expanded) our acquaintance with CoC through the show, or are coming to it for the first time. Beyond all that, Matt was an interesting and articulate guest, and I'm always eager to hear how other Keepers out there go about designing and running homebrew (or composite homebrew/published) scenarios and campaigns.

I loved the description of how Fairyland went down at 1d4con! The players coming up with a creepy nursery rhyme had me cackling with glee. I wish I could have seen that!

Scott, great to hear from you! I've run Fairyland twice now, and it has gone over like gangbusters both times, with completely different results. Really nice writing on this scenario.Scott Dorward wrote:I loved the description of how Fairyland went down at 1d4con! The players coming up with a creepy nursery rhyme had me cackling with glee.
