This episode is notably shorter than usual due to copious technical issues. We got recording around an hour late, so our combat overview became a detailed look into Initiative.
We then go into feedback, both written and audio.
Simon writes to tell us about Edwardian Shopping, for your early 1900′s UK shopping needs.
Josh asks us about our proclivity for bouncing around to different game editions, and mentions Keeper Murph sounds a lot like Wilbur Whateley from Dark Adventure Radio Theatre. He has no connections to the HPLHS, but there may be Whateleys somewhere in the family tree.
Erik writes to suggest our joining a couple of gaming podcast networks. http://www.rpgpodcasts.com/ and http://rpgcrosstalk.webs.com/
We’re also on http://rpggeek.com.
Tyler and Brian sent us voicemails! Thank you all so much for writing and sending in the audio feedback. We love your input!
We also got more iTunes Reviews! Please stop by there and leave us a review and rating.
The Call of Cthulhu Quick-Start rules are now on DriveThruRPG. This is similar to the one on Chaosium’s site, but has the pre-generated characters added as well as the newest character sheet.
Murph mentions a company called Night Shade Books which has collections of original new Cthulhu fiction. Their books include:
The Mall of Cthulhu
The Book of Cthulhu
The Book of Cthulhu II
Any ideas for show topics are very welcome, so please send them in! We also would love to get listener-submitted segments, and we need ideas for a bumper for Reviews.
Keeper Murph goes into his great review of Chaosium’s new Cthulhu by Gaslight 3rd Edition.
Purchase here from Chaosium in physical book form, or from DriveThru RPG in PDF.
There is also a Gaslight Equipment Catalog.
Our main topic is opening up combat in the Call of Cthulhu game. We were short on time, so we ended up going through the Initiative phase of combat. We’ll go into the further sections in future shows.
This is the discussion thread for this podcast posted on the Yog-Sothoth forums.

Good one.
I especially enjoyed Murph's review of "Cthulhu Gaslight" because I won it as a prize last year but it has not been played as I'm catching up with so many other aspects of the various Cthulhu settings. Now, I'm inspired especially now that Murph mentions some adventures in back. Woops. Guess I really did just skim it.
Who got the free copy of Gaslight, btw? If nobody I "wants it" to give to a friend.
