What Movie Should We Pick for the IndieGogo Stretch Goal?

Post by Dr. Gerard » Sun May 25, 2014 12:42 am

So, MUP Nation, we're now within claw/claw/bite range of our second stretch goal on the IndieGogo campaign, and one of the new perks to unlock if we make it to $3500 is another movie commentary track.

We are already going to do a track for Re-Animator -- and soooo looking forward to it.

If we make it to the next stretch goal in time, what would you want our second movie to be?

This is just for brainstorming. There's no guarantee that we'll pick the movies you mention, because we've already got a long list to choose from. But maybe you can think of something we haven't considered?

All suggestions appreciated, from "so-bad-it's-good" to splatterpunk to classic HPL adaptation or silent films from the silver screen.

What say you all?

Here's a few off the top of my head:

Cast a Deadly Spell...as far as I know a movie commentary has never been done for this flick.
The Dunwich Horror (1970)...again..not sure about a commentary for this one either.
The Resurrected (1991)...another without an existing commentary track.
Bleeders (1997) starring Rutger Hauer...read comments above. (It's based on The Lurking Fear)

You guys could break new ground commentary-wise.

You nailed it. Awesomely, those are all on our list. But we'll take that as a vote to do another HPL adaptation.

My vote would probably be for Cast a Deadly Spell or Bleeders. Those are the two I haven't seen a bazillion times. I have a VHS of CaDS but my VCR went kaput a decade ago and Bleeders I only saw once and just noticed it up on youtube. Plus it's got Rutger Frikken Hauer.

The sequel to Re-Animator, Bride of Re-Animator (1989), or Dagon (2001).

Miskatonic University is a clear choice. Though it is only a short film.

I think the 1970 Dunwich Horror is prime material for this sort of thing.

Sigh, you just reminded me that I am missing Quartermass in the Pit...I have the DVD case, but have no idea where the movie is. Great movie!
