Some decidedly Lovecraft-flavoured metal for those of us who are into that sort of thing include:
The Great Old Ones
Saille
Yog-Sothoth
Y'Golonac
Dodecahedron
Cultes Des Ghoules [Häxan] [Henbane]
Sulphur Aeon [Gateway To The Antisphere] [Swallowed By The Ocean's Tide]
Life is a hideous thing, and from the background behind what we know of it peer daemoniacal hints of truth which make it sometimes a thousandfold more hideous.

I'm using Ola Larsson's art from Sulphur Aeon's Gateway to the Antisphere as my desktop background. :)

Cryo Chamber has an awesome ambient album called simply Cthulhu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppiGTLqfaWc
Where Yig doth tread no man treads tomorrow.
Reeking death, harvest of humans in hatred.
Suck on the shitbag of what you created, what we created.
Yig now incoming, Yig now is here.
Yig he makes everything impossibly queer.

Speaking of awesome ambient stuff, Musica Cthulhiana have several really good albums, but I like Ether best

Nyogtha is another band (drone/doom stuff) with some Lovecraftian inspiration.

For ambient stuff.. two of my ABSOLUTE favorites are

Quake soundtrack, awesome atmospheric music. There's some faster stuff in the beginning of the first track, but the rest is pure atmosphere.

Diablo soundtrack, the 15 year anniversary one is good. there's some creepy stuff there. The first track again is a little upbeat, but the rest are great.

I read to these two all the time, as well as Geneva by Russian Circles and Australasia by Pelican.
