So BGG also has RPG listings, and I just saw yesterday that they have a placeholder spot for Timeless Sands of India, but not only that, but that I have a creator page on BGG!!! That was so weird, and very exciting!
As with most academic institutions, it is usual for senior faculty to be published in their respected field of expertise.
I actually submitted it to RPGGeek.

(I'm not very imaginative when it comes to online handles.)

Just went to the game store with the intent to buy a good zombie board game like Night on Earth...but I ended up getting Smallworld instead, based on advice from a rabid pack of store clerks. They ganged up on me.
Has anyone played Smallworld? I have heard good reviews previously...but did I make a terrible mistake?

Nope! Smallworld is lots of fun. Watch the YouTube video of Wil Wheaton playing it on his TableTop series. It's a fun game. I don't own it, but a friend does, and I've played it four times this year. Good purchase.Dr. Gerard wrote:Just went to the game store with the intent to buy a good zombie board game like Night on Earth...but I ended up getting Smallworld instead, based on advice from a rabid pack of store clerks. Excellent. Part of my thinking there was that I have a pool of family players with a range of levels of interest/obsession with games. So I'm hoping the fun illustrations and casual feel will help to draw the non-gaming members to the table. Looking at the rules, it seems pretty teachable and not as...shall I say, "fiddly," as a game like Arkham Horror or Last Night on Earth.Keeper Jon wrote: Nope! Smallworld is lots of fun. Good observations. Smallworld is generally thought of as a gateway game.

You know, it just now occurred to me that this thread was about the Timeless Sands of India posting on BGG, not general board game chat.
Thread foul.
I also realized we accidentally turned the Macabre Tales thread into a billboard for TSOI. Oh well!
