Thinking of running a new Cthulhu Campaign

Post by Shannon Mac » Thu Jan 23, 2014 11:59 am

Using either MoN (Masks of Nyaaaarrr!) or Tatters of the King. If people are interested let me know here. As an FYI I am PST/GMT 8 hours. I prefer to run evenings from 7-11pm PST (later on Fridays) or weekends mid-afternoon/evenings.

This will be first come, first serve.

CAVEAT: this will be several months out as I am finishing up another COC campaign. I am thinking summer or just after but it could be sooner.

Some info:

MASKS OF NYARLOTHEP (the classic of classic Cthulhu camps; a globe trotting meat grinder epic adventure; arguably not real Cthulhu as it's pulpy with sci fi elements):

TATTERS OF THE KING (much more of a thinking adventure dealing with reality; madness scale is high; probably more true to Lovecraft tales)

Hey Shannon Mac,

I'd be very interested in that Friday's and Saturdays would work great as those time would be from 2pm to 5pm on the following day as I'm in Australia. I'd be particularly interested as I have been running MoN myself on and off with my friends.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hey Russ,

From what I understand you can play MoN even if you've run it in the past. This is several months out but I've got you on my list. Are you on Facebook or Google+ so that I can keep track of you?

BTW, I should add the new HORROR ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS. One of my current players invested in the Kickstarter so it it gets finished that is another possibility.

I know I'd be up for this later on as in the process of starting to move in the next couple weeks so a few months down the line should be good for me if room for one more (in Central Time USA).

Hey all,

It depends how many people from my Cthulhu campaign want to continue as well as scheduling. I'll put the two of you on my list first and will try to remember this thread but since it may not take off until summer/fall (I've got a one shot for the group and then a miniseries run which will probably be 20+ sessions) you may want to PM your Facebook/Google+.

If you wish to cast a vote for one of the three feel free. Right now I've got 2 people for HOE and 2 that don't care and one who hasn't spoken but of these five I suspect 2 are going through life changes and may not be available.

I suspect I will cap it at six seats but since each of these runs is like a year or longer there may be some people coming and going which means replacements.
