I would love to get in on a ToC game. Consider me interested.

Me too. I can squeeze in a play by post, but not a Skype game.

If neither of you has any preferences as to location & character types, I was thinking of running a MU expedition to the Yucatan. Unless you want to try something ... unusual.

Awesome, there are plenty of jobs available for expedition members: archaeologist/epigrapher, interpreter for the natives (Spanish and Yucatec), doctor, as well as guards (from the ranks of Pinkertons or Army/Marines who have served in Central America and the Caribbean previously).

Let's go with Pulp rules then. I would say that Physics, Cop Talk & Accounting will not be necessary investigative skills, so don't feel you have to get them unless you like a particular character concept. Other skills I don't see too much use for are Bureaucracy, Locksmith, Streetwise & Chemistry, although I would not turn down interesting arguments. Likewise, Electrical Repair will probably not come into play as a general ability - same for Explosives, unless someone has a high Preparedness score....

I favor playing the interpreter for the expedition. But I'm flexible.

Cool. I'll be a doctor. I'll need a few days to get prepared. My free time is in short supply these days.

allthumbs, I wanted to run a character concept by you before I start building him. I was thinking about making a Jesuit priest (occupation - clergy) who has done or is doing mission work in the Yucatan (and therefore carries the necessary language skills). If he is doing mission work in the Yucatan, I imagine he has contacts at MU who recruited him as an interpreter for the expedition. Let me know if that works and I'll piece him together.
